Past

a.citizen and d.catalyst got their beginnings working together as community organizers in 2004. Shortly thereafter, they worked together to gain the governor’s commitment to protect Oregon’s coast from drilling. This began their collaboration to televise informative coverage of the growing energy crisis and the diverse responses to it: Eco-TV.

During two seasons of Eco-TV, a.citizen and d.catalyst created several shows, put together a community event called Sustainable Community Convergence, collaborated on Mayor Tom Potter’s visioning project, helped to organize a few political events, and waged a community campaign to empower more citizens to provide input to what happens with the nuclear storage site at Hanford.

Through their work together, a.citizen and d.catalyst realized their common visions and committed themselves to empowering community organization. Thus, Eco-mUNITY was born. More on our history to come in the future.
